Donate to Cirque; enjoy pop-up Christmas market in Village Square

Did you enjoy Cirque Sept. 19, which brought Village Square alive with 30 modern art installations, attracting thousands and showing the potential of the Square as a gathering place? This free event was brought to us by No Vacancy Art, a newly formed charitable organization dedicated to bringing art and culture to Burlington.

Residents flocked to Village Square for Cirque in September.

No Vacancy is working to clear some outstanding bills from the event. As the first year for this event, is always tough to calculate costs and revenue. Can you donate? If just 50 people could give $20 each, that would help show support for the event to continue. Donations are eligible for a charitable tax receipt. I’ve donated $20 – see what you can do to ensure events like these can continue.

Sugarplum Pop-Up Holiday Art Market

Next up for No Vacancy is the Sugarplum Pop-Up Holiday Art Market in Village Square Nov. 22. The market will feature curated original art and handmade goods. So rather than hitting the mall to battle the crowds, why not slip into the little shop and have some hot mulled apple cider while you shop in an inspiring environment.

You can find the Holiday Art Market on the inside of Village Square directly across from The Blyth Academy.

It launches to the public on Saturday, November 22nd at 12PM and will be open every Thursday (12-9pm), Friday (12-9pm), Saturday (12-8pm), and Sunday (12-6pm) until Dec. 19.
