I was inspired to seek public office because I believe, like so many of you, “I can do something about that” on the issues we face. As councilor, my role is to take a stand on what’s best for residents and go to bat for it. Pushback is inevitable from those who don’t have the community’s interests at heart. I will stand with you and for you, to achieve the best interests of our city, without caving to unacceptable compromise in the name of consensus.

  1. Just spent about 45 minutes scanning – not reading in its entirety – the public input summaries on the Official Plan. It’s an illuminating document, if you want to know the mindset of developers in particular – but I wanted to say that anyone grumbling about overpaid politicians should look at this to get an inkling of the massive responsibility they face in preparing for these meetings and decisions. This daunting reading is just a fraction of what they must absorb every month. Hats off to you all.
