Habitat for Humanity Rezoning on Plains/Glendor Ave (Mar 24)

Habitat for Humanity HaltonAs part of the City’s Development & Infrastructure Committee (D&I) meeting on Mar. 24, city staff will be holding a statutory public meeting to consider the development proposal by Habitat for Humanity at 1325, 1331 Plains Rd. E. and 1025 Glendor Ave.

City planning staff has received applications from Ramsay Planning Inc. to redesignate and rezone the site at the northeast corner of Plains Rd. E. and Glendor Ave. to build 12 back-to-back townhouses, with one 1-storey accessible unit, for a total of 13 units. Seven units would front onto Glendor Ave. and 6 would have shared access onto Plains Rd. E.

The property is presently zoned MXG (Mixed Use Corridor General) and R3.1 (Residential). The MXG designation permits a range of uses, including retail service and commercial uses, office uses, recreational establishments, apartment buildings, retirement homes and townhouses. The R3.1 designation permits single detached dwellings with an accessory unit. Additional information on this proposal is available in previous newsletters available here and here and here

Staff will present an information report (with no recommendation) to the D&I Committee. That report will be available on Mar. 17 on the city’s website.
