Statutory Public Meeting:
Development & Infrastructure Committee: Oct. 13, 6:30 p.m.
Council will receive a staff information report at the D&I meeting on Tues., Oct. 13 related to the proposal by Starlight Investments to redevelop their property at 2051-2085 Prospect St.
A summary of the proposed redevelopment is available in the staff report (links below) and in an earlier article on wards2news.ca that provides a summary of the neighbourhood meeting June 25 that I hosted to provide residents information on this redevelopment.

There have been some changes to the project since the neighbourhood meeting. I am working with Starlight Investments to schedule an additional neighbourhood meeting, following the formal statutory public meeting on Oct. 13. Staff Report
Below is planning staff’s information report and appendices regarding the redevelopment of 2051-2085 Prospect St. The staff report will be presented to the Development & Infrastructure Committee on Tuesday, October 13. The committee meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers on the 2nd floor of city hall, 426 Brant St. This item is part of a statutory public meeting under the Planning Act. Planner Silvina Kade will make a presentation to the committee providing details of the development proposal and following that the chair will call up each resident who wishes to speak to the item. Delegations have a maximum of 10 minutes to speak to the committee, which is made up of all members of city council. Information on registering as a delegation is below.

Staff have not yet made a recommendation regarding the redevelopment. Following input from residents and council at the Statutory Public Meeting, staff will prepare a recommendation report that recommends one of: approve; approve with modifications; refuse. That report will come back to a future D&I meeting and residents can attend and speak. Watch for details of that date in my newsletter and on the webpage, or email your contact information to my assistant to be included in the notification list.

As the Oct. 13 meeting is a statutory public meeting, residents do not have to register to speak at the meeting. However, those that do register in advance are called up first. Register online at: Register as a delegation
