Dawn Victoria Homes has applied to rezone the properties at 2360, 2364 & 2368 New Street to permit twelve 3-storey townhomes on a private roadway. The property is presently zoned H-RM2 and allows 2-storey single detached, semi-detached, triplex, fourplex and townhouse dwellings along with a 4-storey retirement home. Currently, each of the three properties has a single family home on it.

As part of the City’s Development & Infrastructure Committee meeting on July 12, city staff will hold a statutory public meeting under the Planning Act to inform members of the committee (all members of city council) about the application and to hear from delegations. City staff will not make a recommendation on the application at this meeting. A second report will be prepared, likely in the fall, and will contain a recommendation to either approve, approve with modifications or not approve the application.
