Application for 20 townhomes at 2384 Queensway Dr.; meeting Nov. 17

 Location of Queensway Habitat buildThe Planning Department has received an Official Plan Amendment and a rezoning application from Habitat for Humanity to construct 20 three-storey townhouse units at 2384 Queensway Drive.

A public meeting will be held Nov. 17 to allow you to ask questions and make comments:

Date:   Tuesday, November 17, 2015

Time:   7:00 p.m.

Place:  Freeman Scout Hall, 2366 Fassell Avenue  (Fireman’s Hall)

The proposed development will consist of two 3-storey buildings each containing 10 standard townhouse units for a total of 20 units and 8 visitor parking spaces. Access will be provided from Queensway Drive.  

The applicant has submitted technical reports and plans in support of this application, that are available for public review in the Planning & Building Department and on the City’s website (www.burlington.ca/2384queensway).

Your written comments should be submitted by:   December 11, 2015

You are invited to submit written comments about the proposed development to the City of Burlington.  Your comments will be considered by the Planning Department when we make our recommendation to the Development & Infrastructure Committee of Council to approve or refuse the application.  Your comments will form an appendix to a staff report about the proposed rezoning which will be posted on the City’s web site.  Notice of the Development & Infrastructure Committee public meeting to consider the applications will be sent to you later on.
