Project Includes:

  • Road reconstruction including widening and raising of the roadway in conjunction with the Joseph Brant Hospital expansion.
  • Installation of curb and gutter and a 2.5 metre sidewalk on the west side from Maple Ave. to the parking garage.

This work will be coordinated with the Joseph Brant Hospital Expansion and redevelopment that is currently ongoing.

Nine trees will be removed to accommodate the project. The April 19 Development & Infrastructure Committee will consider the award of tender for the project to New-Alliance Ltd. of Burlington who came in with the lowest tender bid. The total cost of the project is $5,370,000, which includes a portion of the funding from Halton Region of $1,436,000.
