Central Park Trellis being replaced

trellisThe wooden trellis at the Central Park Rose Garden has reached the end of its lifespan and will be replaced this fall.  The new trellis will be a steel structure with wood composite accents, designed to complement the architecture of Central Library.

The work will also include replacement of the stone patio with concrete to provide an accessible surface that matches the adjacent walkway.  The construction is scheduled to start in October, with completion by early spring next year.

A notice of construction will be posted on the city’s webpage.

I was inspired to seek public office because I believe, like so many of you, “I can do something about that” on the issues we face. As councilor, my role is to take a stand on what’s best for residents and go to bat for it. Pushback is inevitable from those who don’t have the community’s interests at heart. I will stand with you and for you, to achieve the best interests of our city, without caving to unacceptable compromise in the name of consensus.
