Playground upgrades underway around the city, including Lions Club Park downtown

Playground upgrades are underway at multiple sites across Burlington including:

  • Berwick Green Park
  • Clarksdale Park & Public School
  • Frontenac Public School
  • Iroquois Park
  • Irving Parkette
  • Kerncliff Park
  • King’s Road Public School
  • Palmer Park
  • Pathfinder Park
  • Pauline Johnson Public School
  • Ryerson Park and Public School
  • Sheldon Park
  • Tecumseh Park and Public School
  • Doug Wright Park Playground Replacement
  • Lansdown Park Playground Replacement
  • Lion’s Park

The Lion’s Park neighbourhood in downtown Burlington engaged in the ‘Love Your Playground’ survey process to provide input on their new playground equipment.   As a result, the community preferences were incorporated into the design.

  • Playground and swing set replacement
  • Site furnishings replacement

The construction work at various parks may include:

  • the removal of the existing play equipment
  • placement of concrete curbs
  • placement of asphalt pathways
  • installation of site furnishings
  • installation of protective surfacing
  • minor landscape improvements
  • installation of playground equipment.

I was inspired to seek public office because I believe, like so many of you, “I can do something about that” on the issues we face. As councilor, my role is to take a stand on what’s best for residents and go to bat for it. Pushback is inevitable from those who don’t have the community’s interests at heart. I will stand with you and for you, to achieve the best interests of our city, without caving to unacceptable compromise in the name of consensus.
