Also, we are pleased to present the second edition of COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AWARD. Recognize a volunteer TEAM from your organization whose collective work has made a significant change in their community.

This award is being presented by Community Development Halton.

These nominations are open to all non-profit, voluntary and grassroots organizations in Halton. Nominations are accepted until Friday, March 14, 2014.

I was inspired to seek public office because I believe, like so many of you, “I can do something about that” on the issues we face. As councilor, my role is to take a stand on what’s best for residents and go to bat for it. Pushback is inevitable from those who don’t have the community’s interests at heart.
