Burlington Canada Day FestivalJoin me Canada Day for a range of events in Spencer Smith Park. I’ll be starting the morning at 9am with a 5k run sponsored by Roseland Law Chambers. (Register here).

There’s a free pancake breakfast courtesy Golden Griddle at 9:30am. Citizenship court starts at 11:30. Wander over to Joseph Brant Museum for the Strawberry Social between 11-4. I’ll be helping to serve up ice-cream and berries from 12-1pm.

There are bands in the park all day, with headliners The Spoons taking the stage at 8:30pm. Fireworks start at 10pm.

Free Parking:

Free parking is available downtown at all meters, municipal lots and the parking garage on Canada Day (except the waterfront lots on either side of the Discovery Landing centre.)

Free Shuttle:

Park or walk to Central Public Library and take the free Canada Day shuttle downtown.

For Cyclists:

Ride your bike downtown and park it at the MEC Bike Corral located just off the promenade near the playground. Cyclists are asked to walk their bikes along the promenade during the event.

Road Closures:

Lakeshore Road from Brant Street to Maple Avenue will be closed from 9-11pm for the fireworks.
