Leighland Road traffic calming meeting April 6

Traffic Calming ZoneCity staff have completed a traffic review on Leighland Road and determined that Leighland, between Helena Street and Brant Street, warrants the installation of traffic calming measures. Staff are proposing split speed humps and invite residents to a meeting to review the traffic calming plan on:

Date: Wed., April 6, 2016
Time: 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Location: Royal Canadian Legion, 828 Legion Rd.

Transportation staff will present the plan and residents will have an opportunity to ask questions and provide comments. A letter will be mailed to area residents shortly with further details.

I was inspired to seek public office because I believe, like so many of you, “I can do something about that” on the issues we face. As councilor, my role is to take a stand on what’s best for residents and go to bat for it. Pushback is inevitable from those who don’t have the community’s interests at heart. I will stand with you and for you, to achieve the best interests of our city, without caving to unacceptable compromise in the name of consensus.

What's your take?
