WIND CHILL WARNING in effect for Burlington/Oakville

Summary:
Wind chills of minus 30 to 35 tonight and Tuesday morning. An Arctic air mass has settled over Southern Ontario. The combination of cold temperatures and moderate northwesterly winds is expected to produce wind chill values minus 30 or colder.

Outdoor workers please dress accordingly to limit skin exposure while working outside:

· Wear layers of clothing including a hat, gloves and scarf

· Wear insulated boots with traction devices (available at hardware and outdoor equipment stores)

To ensure your safety:

· Alternate outdoor work with breaks in a warm location

· Drink warm liquids

· Be aware of slippery surfaces

· Use sand to prevent icy conditions

· If you experience any discomfort while working talk to your supervisor
