Food Truck Survey button - Insight BurlingtonBurlington, Ont., Oct. 9, 2014 –The City of Burlington has launched two new online surveys to help gather input from the community about the operation of food trucks in the city.

“Currently, the City of Burlington does not have a bylaw that governs where food trucks can operate within the city, when or how often,” said Tracey Burrows, manager of bylaw enforcement and licencing. “As the popularity of food trucks continues to grow in cities around the world, we want to hear from residents, restaurants, businesses and foods truck operators. We want to know what they like and don’t like about the industry and how do they see food trucks operating in their community.”

The surveys are available at www.burlington.ca/foodtrucks and will remain open until Monday, Oct. 20.

The information collected from the surveys will be used to help city staff determine if they should move forward with a recommendation to Burlington City Council about the operation of food trucks in Burlington.
