2016 CensusStatistics Canada has let the City of Burlington know they are looking for people in Burlington to help gather Census 2016 data on May 10, 2016.

They are looking for 35,000 positions nationwide; with more than 17,000 in Ontario, and are having challenges getting people in this city. To apply to work as part of the Census 2016 team, or to get more information, visit www.census.gc.ca/jobs.

Please also complete your Census forms so we can get the most current information to improve the country’s data collection.

I was inspired to seek public office because I believe, like so many of you, “I can do something about that” on the issues we face. As councilor, my role is to take a stand on what’s best for residents and go to bat for it. Pushback is inevitable from those who don’t have the community’s interests at heart. I will stand with you and for you, to achieve the best interests of our city, without caving to unacceptable compromise in the name of consensus.

What's your take?
