Help Food for Life win $10,000 grant

Food for Life is participating in a unique fund raising contest run by CIT, a global financial services company. They have launched an initiative called “Foodortunity” (click here to view the promotional poster). CIT has identified several hunger-related charities in communities in which they have a main office to collect on-line votes to receive grants of $10,000, $5,000 and $2,500. Since one of the major CIT Canadian offices is in Burlington, they have chosen Food for Life as one of their nominated charities.Please send this news out to all your friends – to encourage everyone to visit their special Foodortunity website (www.cit.com/vote) to vote for Food for Life.The voting closes on August 29. As of August 11, Food for Life is in first place by the smallest margin! All your votes are needed to help Food for Life win the $10,000 grant.

Remember, Food for Life turns every donated dollar into more than $15 worth of food – which means this $10,000 grant would equal $150,000 worth of food to help those in need in our community.
