Meeting April 27 for speed humps on Glenwood School Dr

City staff are proposing four speed humps along Glenwood School Drive to address pedestrian safety until the road is reconstructed and sidewalks can be added (currently slated for 2018). The location of the speed humps is the green dots below.

Residents are invited to a public information session to address any questions you may have regarding the proposed traffic calming measures.

Meeting Details:

Date: April 27, 2016
Time: 6pm to 9pm
Location: Scouts Hall, 2366 Fassel Avenue

In October of 2015, a letter was sent to residents regarding the proposed plans that city staff have put in place in order to address the speeding issue. The plans include lowering the speed limit from 50km/h to 40km/h, as well as the installation of speed humps. The speed study results, shown in red on the map below, clearly show speeding is an issue on the street.
