Matching fund deadline Feb. 26: Start thinking about ways to improve our neighbourhoods

Put your thinking caps on for ideas to make your neighbourhood better. The city offers 50% matching funds, with an application deadline of Feb. 26.

Through the city’s Neighbourhood Community Matching Fund, neighbourhood and community groups  initiate, manage and implement projects that make a difference in their area.

Approved projects receive up to 50 per cent of the funding for the project from the city. The community matches this funding with an equal contribution made up through any combination of volunteer hours, donated service, donated materials and supplies or other funds raised, such as cash donations.
