Revised plans submitted for 4 homes at 2267 Lakeshore

2267 Lakeshore Road BurlingtonThe city has received a revised development application for four homes at 2267 Lakeshore Road. The initial proposal was five homes. Planning staff have scheduled a statutory public meeting to review the details of the proposal at city council’s Development & Infrastructure Committee, Mon. Sept. 29, 6:30pm. The agenda for that committee, with a background report from staff, will be available about a week before the meeting online here.

Residents may attend that meeting and share with council their views about the project, however the meeting protocols do not provide an opportunity for residents to ask questions of staff or council. If residents would like to meet with staff prior to the meeting, I can arrange that.

Since it is a statutory public meeting, residents do not have to register in advance to speak. The speaking limit is 10 minutes.

Additional information about this development, including background reports, is available http://cms.burlington.ca/Page13678.aspx#.VA2tusJdXeQ

My Take: I have yet to see the revised plan and layout, and review with staff how that compares to existing zoning and setbacks. However, my initial thought is that this is likely too many units for the site. But I will reserve final judgement until I see the staff background report and full details of the revised proposal.
