Friends of Freeman Station need your help!
From Friends of Freeman Station newsletter:
As Friends of Freeman Station (FOFS) continue their restoration work in 2016, there’s good news and there’s bad news. The good news is that an anonymous corporate donor has committed to making major capital improvements to the Freeman Station restoration project.
Their contributions will include concrete work, grading and landscaping, trenching for the installation of utility lines, and other site improvements. Also, Union Gas is now ready to install service to the building, for which a sizeable installation fee has been paid.
The bad news is that all this work is going to cost big dollars, out-of-pocket, to pay for architectural drawings, site plans, municipal permits, and the like. The FOFS are making great progress, but there’s still a lot more to do and they are running low on cash.
The charitable organization is looking at applying for some grants in the longer term, but funds are needed now so the work isn’t delayed.
How to donate: Donations can be made on-line at Freeman Station. You can set up a one-time donation or a periodic remittance. Tax receipts are available for donations of $25 or more. Consider purchasing a membership at only $10 a year (or $100 for a Lifetime membership). This entitles you to voting rights, and will keep you abreast of our restoration progress.
